Which is the best remedy
for loose stools due to teething? |
| Vishpala |
Good Qs in the sense that
the pediatricians find no relation between diarrhea and dentition. But Homeopaths do and
have many good medicines for dentitional problems. For loose motions, the medicine
selection will depend on many factors- like child's nature during the illness. |
| Vishpala |
If he is cranky and
irritable, throws things about and wants to be carried all the time, |
| Vishpala |
Then a remedy called Chamomilla
will work well. It has to be repeated after every LOOSE stool, 2 pills at a time |
| Neeraj |
Dr, whether Calcarea-phos
and Ferrum-phos combination has soothing effect while child is getting his teeth |
| Vishpala |
Yes Neeraj, these 2
biochemic medicines have a good effect during the period of dentition |
| Hema
Shah |
What about combination
medicine available in the market? |
| Vishpala |
Yes they too work. But as
we are specialists, we use single constitutional medicines. |
| Neeraj |
My child has just completed
8 months. And in midst of sleep during night he cries endlessly without opening eyes. Only
way we can stop him crying is wake him up. WHY it is so and is there any remedy. |
| Vishpala |
Dear Neeraj, the child is
obviously getting some dream, which is scaring him and he cries. Waking him up breaks this
and he stops crying. Homeopathy deep acting medicines can help. |
| Vishpala |
yes this is a common
problem. In fact one other pt from Delhi wrote to me same, and I said come on the chat. |
| Neeraj |
One more thing. My eight
month old son is afraid of mixie noise, whereas he enjoys vacuum cleaner noise. Does it
has something to do with certain frequencies which is causing problem to my son or
something else. HOW to get rid of this |
| Vishpala |
Dear Neeraj, you have a
specialist son already. Yes it is some things which bother and some do not |
| Sarita
Kapoor |
Neerajji My son also had
the same problem and we would use both mixie and vacuum cleaner at the same time It
worked. Sorry for answering |
| Vishpala |
Thanks Sarita. this is
called the principal of bigger sound drowning out the smaller sound and is akin to the
principal on which Homeopathy is based!! |
| Neeraj |
Is it possible to have the

Doctor, How long does
Homeopathy take to stop bed-wetting? In a 8yr old girl |
| Vishpala |
Dear sagar, has the 8 yr.
old been wetting always? |
| Sagar
Anita |
Yes Madam |
| Vishpala |
Sometimes they become dry
and again start with the arrival of a brother or sister? |
| Vishpala |
Homeopathy can definitely
help well, within 6 mths to a yr the child will stop wetting |
| Sapna |
hi doctor, my 7 yr. old
child is very scared of darkness, could Homeopathy have a remedy for her, |
| Vishpala |
Sapna, Homeopathy is
probably the only medical branch, which tackles fears and such problems. But for that you
have to consult a good Homeopathy and get his history taken, then only correct medicine
can be given. |
| Sapna |
should Homeopathy be
started at this age or a little later? |
| Vishpala |
Homeopathy can be started
at any age, as little as 1 day or even in utero i.e. while mother is pregnant. All mothers
already under our care, are given some preventive medicine |
| Vishnu |
My son 9 yr. is suddenly
scared of his teacher. He has changed school this year Can Homeopathy help? |
| Vishpala |
Again needs constitutional
treatment and some counseling for the child in new school |

Good Afternoon. Why keep a
chat at lunchtime on public holiday? |
| Vishpala |
Dear Sarita, it seems a
good idea to have a chat on a holiday. See so many people have come in!!! |

Dr Vishpala. I know this is
a children site, but I want to know about my grown up daughter. She gets period pains Will
Homeopathy help? |
| Vishpala |
Take your daughter to a
Homeopath who will take a full history including details about the periods, plus her
mental make up, what she likes in food and other such apparently unrelated qs |
| Abhilasha
Iyer |
Doctor, I always had period
pain. Is it true that my daughter will also get them? |
| Vishpala |
Many things in that sense
are hereditary. Your daughter may or may not get the pains. Hope she does not!! |
| Abhilasha
Iyer |
Thanks Doctor |
| Neeraj |
At the age of 9months how
much a child should sleep ideally. |
| Vishpala |
Hi heena! Neeraj, sleep
patterns just like everything else is quite individualistic. so too in a child. But at an
average the 8 mth sleeps 8 hrs at night and 2 -3 hrs in the afternoon. |
| Neeraj |
But there seems to be no
night for my child. He is more active after 10 pm till 1am or so. Then sleeps till 12 noon
with one or two breaks of 1/2hour break for milk etc. other than this he sleeps not more
than an hour. |
| Vishpala |
Neeraj, your child as i
said before is unique. No, but again, every child has patterns which are distinctive. But
he will have to fall in line so that his later life can be in tune with others. |
| Neetu |
doctor, my 16 yr old
daughter is taking Homeopathy for fear during exams, does applying perfume have any side
effects while taking the medicine |
| Vishpala |
Dear neetu, no take the
medicine before applying perfume!! Important thing is not to keep medicine near the
perfumes and strong smell. |
| Sagar
Anita |
Hello Doctor. Is it true
that effects of Homeopathy become zero if taken while eating onion or garlic? |
| Vishpala |
No not quite true, Do our
medicines have so little impact and so little power as to be destroyed by the little onion
and little garlic? But strong smells do reduce the effect a bit. |
| Heena |
I have a family history of
Asthma, Ive been giving my 1st daughter Homeopathy. After she had an attack should i
start preventive Homeopathy. For my 5 yr. old too he has had a little wheezing some days
back? |
| Vishpala |
Yes heena, it is very
important to start Homeopathy as a preventive as early as possible |
| Abhilasha
Iyer |
My 6 mth old son cries a
lot. Is it possible that my stresses of pregnancy have affected? |
| Vishpala |
Dear Abhilasha, the old
wives tales of being happy and calm during pregnancy are not just old wives tales. They
are very true. Whatever you go thru in pregnancy affects the child. In fact most of our
time is spent in unraveling what the mothers went thru so as to give the child the correct
medicines! |
| Neeraj |
Dr What are deep medicines |
| Vishpala |
Deep acting are the
constitutional medicines, which can only be handled by a person trained in Homeopathy. The
other medicines in contrast are the acute which are for acute problems and easier to
understand and administer. |
| Neetu |
thanks a lot doc!! |
